昨天我在电视上看到，大马卫生总监说大马将成为东南亚第一个正式启动西药瑞德西韦（Remdesivir）来治疗 COVID-19的验证工作。虽然我现在大多精力用来开发消毒液(Sanitizer），但在这个节骨眼上，我认为也是值得写上一些，大家一起抛砖引玉。 西药 Remdisivir 到底是什么药物？ Remdisivir 这个西药的制药厂是 Gilead 公司，www.gilead.com。 当医生正在焦头烂额的对付COVID-19 的肺炎，怎么Gilead 公司那么快就有了 Remdisivir 这个药物呢？其实Remdisivir 这个药物在更早之前已经开发出来了，是一种用来治疗 因为 RNA病毒引起的药物，比如说用来治疗丙肝病毒及Ebola 病毒。只是说这个药物从开发出来之后，就一直没排上用场，一直搁在Gilead 公司的资料库里。虽然经过了几次的大规模检测有效性，但是在使用上也没被 美国 FDA 认可。 因为 COVID-19 也是一种RNA 的病毒，因此这个药物就被要上再次拿上来检讨有效性。也因为医学界迫切需要一种药物，虽然 Remdisivir 还没被美国FDA 认可，但是也被医生以“特采”方式，用来当医疗上的救命稻草。 西药Remdisivir 到底能够有效治疗 COVID-19吗？ 美国NIAID研究所，Anthony Fauci, 在29/Apr/2020 这一天在白宫记者会上宣布他的团队针对Remdisivir 治疗 COVID-19给出了正面（Positive）的回复，他说Remdisivir可以“清晰地、显著的缩短疾病好转的时间”。大家一起来琢磨这句话的意思。 在同一天，也是29/Apr/2020, Gilead 也发布了第一阶段用 Remdisivir 这个药物用来治疗 COVID-19 的结果，当然这个也是初步的，还没最终定论。Gilead公司的CEO就在同一天，发表了一封公开信，说Gilead 公司的Phase3 Simple Trial，从数据上看到重症患者的从的康复时间从10天可以缩短到5天。也就是说透过 Remdisivir的药物治疗，从原先的10天治疗周期可以缩短到5天。至于里头还有一些说明，有兴趣的朋友可以自己在Gilead 公司的网站上找来阅读吧！ 我们到底有需要Remdisivir 药物吗？ 从目前美国的情况来看， 我认为Remdisivir 最终会被美国 […]
