RoHS comprises for 6 type of hazardous material, namely Lead (Pb), Cadmium (Cd), Mercury (Mg), Hexavalent Chromium (Hex-Cr), Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE).
The acceptance level for Lead, PBB and PBDE should contain less than 0.1% of the homogeneous material, whereby Cadmium, Hex-Cr should contain less than 0.01% of the homogeneous material. Mercury should not be the intentionally added component for any EE product and it should maintain less than 100ppm.
Even RoHS has got it enforcement through-out EU market, however RoHS requirement may be exempted for some medical and military components.

RoHS requirement is a mandatory requirement for any electrical and electronic products export to EU market. However, this requirement has broaden up it influence to other industry who provide the process components to EE products
